My wife's calf of the left leg has enlarged about 1.5 inches. The doctor did an echo gram and there was no clot. This was about ten months ago. It aches and we can find no explanaton for it. He told her to elevate it at night. She is on her feet most of the time.

Since the doctor ruled out a clot I'm not sure what it could be. Is she taking any new meds? Usually this would cause swelling and pain in both legs. I would go for a second echo and maybe even an MRI with contrast. Also, have her get a work-up on her heart. Maybe it's not perfusing as it should, which can cause swelling and pain also. Good luck and keep us posted.
