I am in waiting he** (double hockey sticks). As I posted previously I have had an enlarged node for over 2 years. The 1st surgeon 2 yrs ago said go home and forget about it. That is was abnormal, but since I had no other symptoms not to worry. I brought it up again to my dr because it is growing and causing discomfort because of the location, inguinal (pantyline). Not sore to touch, just feels tight and pressure.

Well the second surgeon is concerned about it and didn't ask about any other symptoms. Had the ultrasound last Thursday and waiting for results. The ultra sound looked like a black oval in the middle of white/gray background. My aunt has lymphoma and I am immediately jumping to the worst conclusion. It helps to see the strong community of people that are on this board. It gives me strength no matter what my outcome. I'm sure a biopsy is next. Wish me peace from my crazy thoughts. I have bought my kids gifts this year (Ipods) that could be engraved with their name and mine and the date. Feels like I'm making a statement that I am here and hopefully will continue to be.

Hey the waiting is always the worst part. And its hard not to assume the worst. I know I did.

But it could be any number of things...just try to stay positive and make the best of the holiday season with your family. Just stay strong and keep a positive outlook on things. Its totally all about attitude.

Goodluck with your biopsy and here's hoping for good news afterwards.!
