I got my 3rd and 4th beta results. If you don't remember, the 1st was 98 and 2nd was 212. Well, the 3rd was 467 and 4th one (from yesterday) was 1767. So, no more blood tests for now - YAY!! They scheduled me for my first u/s, which will be on 12/17. I am so excited to see the little one(s) in there and to know that everything is all right. I will keep everyone posted!

YaHOOOOOO!!! Those are fantastic numbers!!!! :bouncing::bouncing::bouncing: You must be over the moon! The way they skyrocketed there, it's no wonder you have been feeling so many different symptoms!!! Well I'm so excited for you Cristy. What a miracle this cycle turned out to be! You know what I think? I think you are having a little girl. Since you and DH BD'd a few days before you O'd, and since the little girl spermies are significantly slower than the boy spermies, I think it would make sense that you are having a little girl! Plus I hear m/s and all that jazz is more intense with little girls! So your darling Jack could have himself a baby sister to look after! Hope you don't mind me expressing my thoughts on this... I just thought it would be fun to talk about it... of course I could be totally wrong! :dizzy::)

Thanks everyone! I am soooo excited! And I don't even mind the m/s, although it has gotten much better this week.

Kari: It's so funny that you said that about it being a girl because that is totally what I am thinking!! The girl sperm are slower, but stronger and last longer. Wouldn't that be nice to get my little girl!! Don't get me wrong, I would love to have a boy because I have so many boy clothes and it's been so fun raising a boy, but a girl would be fun too! And I'd have an excuse to go on a shopping spree:) I don't know about the m/s being worse with a girl though because I had m/s for the first 5 months when pregnant with Jackson. But I did get m/s so much sooner with this pregnancy. I guess we'll just have to wait until this baby pops out to find out. That's right, we plan on not finding out the sex - we love the surprise!!

Cristy, wow! I can't believe you have the willpower not to find out! Your delivery day will be three times more exciting now!!! Good for you. :)

I think that is so interesting about the sperm...the girl sperm swims slower and lasts longer. I didn't know any of that. Pretty cool. :)

You know Cristy, I have a feeling its a girl too! What you said abotu the sperm is exactly word for word, letter for letter what I have heard. I know you wouldn't mind having a boy, a little brother for Jackson. But I understand about how you feel abotu a girl :) I admire your strength so much for not finding out! I want that surprise when I eventually get pg, but I know I won't have the willpower :D:D:D Will you think up names for in case its a boy or in case its a girl? My mother and father wanted to wait, but then my mother made a sneaky appointmetn and found out because she couldn't handle it anymore lol, my fatehr found out and laughed so hard, but still didn't want to know. My name was supposed to be Vincent is I was a boy :D:D What was Jackson's name going to be if Jackson was a girl?
I'm so happy for you!!!

Cristy,

I hope your day is going well! That's great that you aren't planning to find out the sex. I think I won't want to find out either (but I'm sure I say that now and then I won't be able to wait - lol).

Hope you're feeling well!

You guys are all so funny admiring me for not finding out the sex! That is the best surprise ever and I would advise everyone to wait until the baby's born to find out. It's so wonderful when that baby comes out and they say "it's a boy" or "it's a girl" and it's a total surprise. I thought for sure Jackson was going to be a girl, so when they said "it's a boy" I was shocked and so happy.

Princess: We will definitely think up a couple girl names and a couple boy names because I tend to change my mind after awhile. It's so hard to agree on names. It seems like DH doesn't like any of my favorites. Jackson would have been Samantha had he been a girl. DH loves the name Samantha, but I really like some other names better.

It's really weird, but my nausea and other symptoms have diminished so much from last week. I wouldn't mind if it stayed this way the whole 9 months! It's funny that I had so many symptoms so early on, even before I could get a BFP. Maybe my body just wanted to let me know that I was pg.

Hi Cristy!

You know, I think I might be oming around t the idea of being surprised---but I don't think I'd have the willpower LOL!! :D:D But things like "Analyze Your Cravings" and the Chinese Lunar Chart woudl make it a lot of fun to guess! :D
I think Samantha is a nice name, but I'm really interested in other ideas too! What other names for a girl do you like? I've chosen my name for a girl....my dream is to call my little girl "Lana". :)

Princess: You should definitely have it be a surprise when the time comes. It is the most amazing experience!! You're right about guessing too - it is so fun! My favorite girl name is Isabella and I also like Skyler. For boys, I like Simon the best, and Finley or Riley. It's so hard to get DH to agree to any of these though, but he doesn't seem to have any ideas of his own. He got to name Jackson, so I told him that I get to name this one:)

Oh those are wonderful names!! :D I love the name Riley! :D I think it's perfectly fair that if Dh got to name Jackson, then you get to name this one :D I mean, Dh should have the right to veto---bu tlimti him to maybe three vetoes :D:D:D

You know, i'm starting to get really on board with the waiting idea. In one of my favourite books "Shopaholic and Baby" the heroine is waiting, and she has so much fun guessing at what it is! :D

How is your m/s? Gone now?

jackstersmom
12-06-2007, 01:57 PM
The m/s seems to be gone now (knock on wood!). I've been feeling really good the last few days, just tired at night. I'm still having a hard time staying asleep all night (hard to get comfortable), but Jackson keeps coming to our room at like 2:00AM. I have to let him fall back asleep with us and then take him back to his room, but last night he woke up and came right back to our bed! He's going through another phase where he does this every night for awhile, but hopefully it will stop soon and he'll just sleep through the night. I need to get him sleeping in his bed all night and potty trained before baby #2 comes!!

(knocking on wood) I hope your M/s stays away! :D Any other symptoms---are you feeling really tired? I'm generally tired lol-- I don't knwo how I'll feel during pregnancy....coma? :jester: LOL. I'd be especially tired if Jackson kept wakign me up! Is he having nightmares, the poor thing? Or is it just a phase where he wants to be in mommy and daddy's bed? How old is he again? He sounds like such a cute one!! :D

jackstersmom
12-06-2007, 04:37 PM
He is 2 1/2. He doesn't really cry or anything, just comes to my side of the bed, so I don't think it's nightmares, but who knows? One night awhile back he told me that the trees scared him - I think he meant the shadows of the trees that he could see in his room. He is such a cutie and I am a very proud mommy!!

I don't really have any symptoms right now, except maybe a little tired. Last week it was a heightened sense of smell that made me nauseous, m/s, heartburn, uncomfortable tummy with pants that were a little tight, bloated, I mean like everything you can imagine. This week I'm good. I hope it stays this way, but if it comes back, it'll all be worth it when I get to hold that baby!!

I'm glad you're feelign better! :D That's wonderful! :D I'm prayin gthat all keeps going so smoothly and wonderfully!!

Jackson sounds liek such a little cute one!! I bet it's very hard not to spoil him! I think that might a problem for us IF sisters, not spoiling the children we have or will have :D:D:D I hope he settles down and can stay asleep by the time the baby comes! :D

Hi Cristy,

I'm glad to hear the m/s is still giving you a break. You're lucky!! Jackson sounds so cute! I remember when I was a little girl I used to always scare myself half to death at night. I was afraid of everything in the dark! I used to turn my bedroom light off and then race to my bed & jump under the covers before anything could get to me. And this was when I was 9! :p Like Mapia said, can't wait till we all have our little ones looking for our comfort in the scary night time.

Take care of yourself and the little ones (baby to be & Jackson ;))!

Holly
