Hi there,
I've been in urolgy for awhile but decided maybe you girls could help , i started this fall with what i thought was a lower abdml pain if i strain to pee or have a # 2 and i've had this at times closer to my periods for years but like i said it started shortly after my period ended , and the last few months i've been having to pee alot and now it's unbearable all the time almost like a uti but the test came back neg for infection , although the antibiotics perscibed have worked a bit now it feels like buring in my ureatha and a sort of stinging sensation that makes me have to go but not much comes . Last year i had abnormal vaginal discharge ( Blood )and went to a gyno and he did a pap , pelvic examine and a coloscopy where he say a polyop on my cervix so he removed it in july . The bleeding wasn't every month and almost looked like the beginning of a period but i wouldn't be due to have it for a week or more . The pap should inflammation which he thought was the cervial polyop , is it possible it's uterine cancer instead , oh and about 4 yrs ago had a ultrsound that showed small cysts on my ovaries that the doc said was a normal physilogical change , i'm at my wits end the peeing thing is driving me nuts and if it's not a uti could it be coming from my uterus ? Please any advise or thoughts would be appreciated .

I hope this help let me know .....
Also called: IC, Painful bladder syndrome, PBS
Interstitial cystitis (IC) is a condition that causes discomfort or pain in the bladder and abdomen. It is far more common in women than in men. The symptoms vary from case to case. Some people have an urgent or frequent need to urinate. Women's symptoms often get worse during their periods. They may also have pain with sexual intercourse.

Many scientists believe IC is actually several diseases. Many use the term painful bladder syndrome (PBS) to describe urinary pain for which they cannot find a cause. There is no one test to tell if you have IC/PBS. Doctors often run tests to rule out other possible causes of symptoms. There is no cure for IC/PBS, but treatments can help most people feel better. They include distending, or inflating, the bladder; bathing the inside of the bladder with a medicine solution; oral medicines and in rare cases, surgery.

HI there tex,
Thanks for the info , and have been reading quite a bit about it , i guess where the urine test came back neg i think they should of done a culture just be sure there wasn't any little bugs growing but i guess when your urine test comes back fine then they sometimes don't bother with a culture . I'm going for a pelvic and renal ultra sound and for the life of me i'm not sure how i will be able to hold 32 oz of water without peeing myself lol..
