Hi Everyone,
I am a young active woman who has recently heard the benefits of taking Omega 3. It seems that they are really good for cardiovascular health and even your hair and skin. Is this true? There are so many different ones out there that picking one of them is hard. Does anyone have any advice on taking Omega 3? Is this really something I should be taking?

Without going "over the top" there does seem to be quite a bit of evidence that omega-3 fatty acids can improve the functioning of your nerves and heart as well as improving the appearance of your skin and hair.
You could take a supplement, either fish oil or flaxseed, or you could try getting more from foods, by eating fish (especially salmon) and nuts. There's even eggs and margarine with omega-3 in them these days.
As long as you don't take more than the package recommends, an omega-3 supplement is unlikely to hurt you. Just be sure and check how many calories are in it.
