I am not sure what are the best meds to take for lupus but I can tell you that sometimes you have to be patient when it comes to medications. Many times the side effects will diminish of go away after some time (sometimess take a few weekss). I have had to learn patience as well because I have been on my fair share of medications.
There are instances when you do need to realize that most pain medications especially the narcotics will make you tired, drowsy, and sleepy. I like what my doctor told me was that he could give me enough narcotic medications to take away all of the pain but I would be off in a corner drooling on myself and passed out:dizzy:
There are some doctors that will give out medications to counter act the side effects of the pain medications usually by giving you a stimulant type of medication or amphetamine. This, however, is somewhat controversial and not all doctors are willing to take this risk. Hope this gives you some insight and options.
