In the past 6 months I have been back and forth to the eye doctor. I don't know what he is exactly. He's the kind that's in one of those eye glasses shops. Anyway, I've been wearing contacts for the past 25 years. In June I started working at a job that had me around cardboard boxes. I started getting really itchy eyes and my contacts started swirling around my eyes! Went to the eye doc and he said it's allergies and that the underside of my lids is all raised and that it acts like a suction cup and picks up the contacts and moves them around. Ok, I say. How do I get rid of it. He advises OTC eye drops....Zaditor. I lay off the contacts and use the drops. After 2 weeks I put my contacts back in. Same thing happens, only now my right eye is finally okay, but my left is still bothering me. He gives me Patanol. Still nothing. I haven't worn my contacts since Thanksgiving. Tonight I put them in and within 2 hours, my left one is all over my eyeball! My eyes are fine without the contacts in, but the left one gives me trouble. If I get a fresh pair of contacts, I can wear them all day. But, if I put the same pair in the next day, within a couple of hours the itching and irritation is back. I tried daily lenses, but they don't make them in my prescription! He also gave me an non-astigmatism contact to see if maybe the lid wouldn't pick up the contact......they don't come in my prescription either, so it was hard to see and the irritation was still there! Why after 6 months can I still not wear contacts! I really hate wearing my glasses and I'm sort of getting depressed about this. I've been back and forth to him saying...please fix me. He's trying, but I can't believe I'm the only one who has ever experienced this. Has anyone out there had a similar experience at all? Please help. Thanks.
