The ultrasound showed a 1.5 cm mass that is unidentifiable. They are scheduling me for surgery, hopefully before the holidays. If they can't identify it, I'm assuming it isn't a lymph node? Should have asked more questions, but I am always like a deer in the headlights.

May i ask how long you have had it? Any other symptoms, how've you been feeling latly? I have the same sort of thing going on. Mine is on the lower left inguinal area. Its been swolen for about a year, last couple weeks its been a little more bothersome, but thats cause ive been thinking about it too much. My family practice doc thoughgt it was a lymphnode. I have an abdominal ultrasound next wednesday. Im kinda nervous.... So, did they say anything else. Im like that too, i totaly freeze up. How old are you??

I've had it for over 2 years. I was sent to a surgeon (different one) two years ago and he told me it was abnormal, but not enough to worry about. To forget it. He seemed to think it was a lymph node. It is getting larger and more bothersome. I have some pressure and discomfort in my right side surrounding the mass and starting down my inner thigh. I really don't have any other symptoms. I am just hoping that because they can't determine what it is, that it isn't a lymph node. I don't know what to hope it is except a cyst because on the ultrasound it showed up as a completely black mass. My understanding of that is that fluid will not reflect the sound waves so that it shows up as black. Anyone know anything about this?

Thats what they told me when i had my 1st ultrasounds. The first 2 they did were the wrong kind though, thats why i have to go do this one. I just told them to take the dang thing out, but they have to see it first. Same stuff goin on here. My husband likes to tickle me alot, and now alot of movement and stretching causes discomfort. Slight twinges of pain now and again, and my left leg twitches ALOT. Im sure its nothing... just wanna get it out of there and gone, for peice of mind. Im hella tired all the time, but i atribute that to having a 2 year old and a 3 year old.
I was told too that if they can see bood flow to the mass, thats not a good thing. The 2 utrasounds they gave me were pointless, you could see it just a little, and im prety sure she thought it was full of fluid. They gave me the results and it said, "apparent mass in left groin area". something like that..
ohh gee thanks, i didnt even know!
i hate the doctors...
hopefully this'll be the second to last time i have to go about this thing.....
let me know what your outcome is... im very curios
i hope it goes good. It will!
ill let you know how my ultrasound goes next week.
how old are you? im 24 :)

Hope everything goes well for you too. My surgery is scheduled for the 28th, so I'm sure there will be a delay in results because of the holidays. Just what I wanted, more waiting. You are young to be having this problem. I am 57, going on 24. I like to think I keep young anyway. Yours sounds a lot like mine. I feel it with muscle movement, stretching, etc and sometimes get twinges of pain or aching. That is recent though. I didn't use to have any pain at all. I hope they finally get yours right and it is nothing, just a cyst. Have a great holiday, I know its hard with this stuff on the back burner. I am going to try to just enjoy my grandkids.

I will let you know when I find out something and you let me know too.
