Hello,

I am a 38 year old with a extensive medical history, I have Lupus a blood clotting disorder and celiac disease. 8 Years ago I had my 2nd abnormal pap, I had coposcopy and was CIN III, because of my blood clotting disorder and the medication I take the Dr was not able to remove the cancer cells completelty and was going to keep a close eye on it. We moved to another state and was not seen again until 2005 when an iregular area showed up on a CT scan and the hospital said it looked like cervical carcinoma (on CT report) I was not adivsed of this. I just read it a few weeks ago. I went to my Hemotologist because I have been feeling very ill, he found another CT report from July 2006 that also had showed the same thing. I told him about the CIN III in 2000 and he was very concerned. I am going to the GYN today and very nervous.

I have alot of symptoms to be concerned about, but one that is really making me crazy is that I keep getting mucusy blood tinged discharge when I am standing to long or walking to long. I get cramps and feel like my cycle is going to start. I use to get my cycle every 3-4 months now I seem to have it every 2-3 weeks and spotting all the time. Please any advice would be helpful, has anyone every had this experience, has anyone had cervical cancer show up on CT scan? Thanks so Much

I have not had similiar results on a CT scan report. If a CT scan were to show what could possibly be cervical carcinoma, action should have been taken immediately & you should have been made aware of it. I am so very sorry to hear you are going through this. I can only imagine the feelings you must be experiencing. I hope you get the answers you are looking for today at your appointment. Just wanted to say my thoughts & prayers are with you. Please keep us posted on how you are doing!!

Sorry for the delay I do not have access to computer everyday. I went to the Dr and he did a pap, and scheduled me for sonogram Tuesday. I of course started spotting (alot) and it is still going on (when I go to bathroom mostly now)

When I told the nurse about the CT results she ran out of the room. This was first time with this Dr. I am very nervous because I just dont know what to do and everything seems like it takes forever to do, like procedure after procedure ect.

Does anyone have any problems with bleeding, spotting, or discharge after standing for a long time? Was anyone diagnosed by CT scan? How long does the results take and what steps should be taken? Sorry to ask so many questions, I didnt even tell the dr the symptoms I was having. All he knows is that I had 2 CT scans show something, and that I had problems 8 years ago that was never fixed. Other than that he doesnt know the symptoms.

I am not a talker and dont like to discuss these things especially, I wish he would have asked the questions I could have answered, but he didnt.

Thanks for the advice

gclaec,

Sit and write down all of your symptoms and a timeline of your tests and results. Then--and I am begging--meet with your doctor and speak with him/her. There is nothing you can do or say (or show him) that he hasn't seen or heard or seen 1000 times before. At a minimum, you could let him read your list and be available for his questions.

Your modesty maybe needlessly putting you at grave risk. Cervical cancer (which IS visible on a PET scan, by the way) is eaily treated if caught early. If not, it is very difficult to cure.

You must take charge of your own medical care--do not leave it entirely in your doctor's hands.

Now, go make your list and make your appointment.

Best to you,
Marc in VA
