Can anyone share the experiences with the drug Lescol. I've had problem with the Lipitors of the world and the Dr. wants to try Lescol 20mg. Of note this Dr. specializes in lipid disorders and said this one typically provides the least amount of side effects.

Thoughts...Comments ?

I was on Lescol XL for 6 months. Unfortunately, it didn't do much better for me than Niacin (at reducing LDL/Total). If I recall, it took me from about total=250 to total=220 range. Hopefully, it will work for you. On the plus side, I don't recall any side effects (my dr called it a "mild statin"). After that, my dr placed me on crestor 5 mg which brought fantastic numbers but harsh side effects.
