So...where to start. I am exhausted! I have a beautiful four month old daughter. I usually get about 7 hours of consecutive sleep a night, which is great. So why am I dragging by 1pm? I know I need to change my diet, but I'm clueless. I'm thinking about going back on a multi with extra vitamin
B-12. I hear this is supposed to increase energy levels...anyone else hear of this?
I am also thinking about taking chromium picolinate to help with afternoon/evening sugar cravings. I took this before getting pregnant and actually lost about 10 lbs.
Does anyone have some suggestions/insights/advice on this situation? I'm open to any opinions that can help me focus and become less groggy. Thanks!

You're not on your own.... go and get some bloods done to check you're not iron deficient. Think about WHEN you get tired and if you've eaten anything that you can relate to it. I find I always get really tired after having my cheese and tomato toasted sandwich for lunch, which makes me think I might have a problem with wheat or dairy but I love them too much to cut them out...

Just a thought. ;)

Trixibel ~ It's funny that you mention that particular item of food...When I was pregnant (which was very recently), I had INTENSE cravings for tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches. I ate them every single day for lunch during my first trimester...it was bizarre.
When I do get the most tired it is usually between 1pm to 2pm and it lasts throughout the rest of the day. It's so frustrating. I'm a teacher and I cannot be functioning like this with a group of second graders. Unfortunately, I am only a long term substitute finishing out the end of the year (until June), so I do not receive health benefits - go USA! haha. Anyway, I do not have health insurance, so I cannot afford to get blood work done. I did go out and get a multi-vitamin with extra iron, chromium, fish oil, and vitamin B-12. I'm also really watching what I'm eating, and I've stopped eating the school's lunches: holy fattening, processed foods!
I just really want to feel better. I think I eat a lot of times out of sheer boredom. It's so cold here now, and the thought of exercising does not entice me. I just need a swift kick in the you know what! Thanks for the reply!
