Since May, it seems as though my health is steadily going downhill. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, and now everything is going wrong. My blood cholestrol level are jumping all over the plac. One month everything is high, the next month, everything is normal. Now my dr. thinks i am one of those people with metabolic syndrome. I am not overweight, I walk at least two miles a day, i eat nothing white, and am really or was one of the healthiest people I know. my latest Lipid results are the following
LDL-C 190
HDL-C 65
VLDL-C 27
total chol. 282
tyglicerides 166
Non HDL 282
APOB100 CALC 145
LP cholestrol 10.0
REAL LDL-C 164real LDL pattern B
Remnant Lipo 30
HDL -2 large Boyant 15
HDL-3 small dense 50
VLDL remnant lipo 14
Gluscosw 82
Every other month these tests are totally normal. I do not know what this all means maybe someone here can help me sort it out. Thanks in advance. I am not looking forward to being insulin resistant or what it brings with it. I have been having heart palpations like crazy for a week, that knock me off my feet.

What reason did your doctor give for thinking you had metabolic syndrome?
I might be wrong, but I thought it was diagnosed by high glucose, high triglycerides, low HDL, high blood pressure and being overweight.
Based on the numbers you posted, I don't see a major problem with any of these. Did he run an A1C test or some sort of insulin test on you too?
Thyroid problems can make your cholesterol levels go wacky. Maybe you will have to wait until your thyroid is okay before even bothering with cholesterol stuff? I assume you are seeing an endocrinologist... just talk it over with him/her.
