I had a pap that tested positive for HPV then I had another pap done and the doctor called and said she had some good news, I don't have HPV but my pap came back a little abnormal. So, I have to go in and get rechecked in one year.
I asked how a pap can come back a little abnormal and she said sometimes environmental changes can cause that.
I keep having what I believe are either UTI's or yeast infections. I treated for a yeast infection and I still felt the same so I am taking something for a UTI.
The first set of antibotics worked for awhile but it came back a month later.
I still feel the same on day 2 of taking the anti's
intercourse has become painful most times as well.
does anyone have any advice for me?

I am so afraid they are going to miss something and wait until it is to late.

Hi,

I just wanted to stop by and give you a hug. I know how anxious you must be with all of this, but it's important to remember that many, many women go through this each year and very few are ever diagnosed with cervical cancer.

Cervical cancer is extremely slow in developing, so even with the worst dysplasia (HGSIL), it could take years for it to become invasive cancer. And, even if it does turn into cancer, it's very treatable.

Just hang in there, try to relax, and, as another lady on another board always says, don't waste a good panic.

Let us know how things turn out.

Big hugs,

Lisa

Thank you so much for responding to my post. It means so much to me. I can't tell you how it helps to hear from other people. It is going to be hard to wait for a year to pass and know what a little abnormal means.
As far as the UTI's and such...so far so good even though something is still not right.
again thanks for your time and your reply. God bless you!
