I was recently on amoxiciloan 500 for 4 days for some dental work. I havebeen on Loestrin 24 Fe for a year. ive had a period in months but we just used teh pull out method lastnight and now im worrying because the medicine might have weakened the pills please help

There is a chance for some antibiotics to do this. I had to take Penicillin while getting my wisdom teeth out and the bottle said it may make the pill not work as well. Check the label on your antibiotics and see if there is any warning for this. I checked online just a minute ago and it said amoxicillin CAN make the pill less effective. Remember that the pull out method is still MOSTLY effective, about 80%, but you still have a chance. It's definitely not something you want to rely on, but you do have a better chance of not being pregnant. Next time just use a condom so you don't have to worry about it! This is what doctors recommend doing... I ended up waiting until the next month but that's always annoying to do.
