Is it safe to take xanax and hydrocodone together? I am taking 1mg of generic xanax extended release. I have been prescribed hydrocodone 10mg for kidney stone pain. I absolutely cannot stand taking pain pills as they make me a nervous wreck. I'm sure they are safe since the Dr. knows I am taking xanax, but wanted to get opinions. Thanks so much!

Your doctor normally always knows best and if you do not fully trust him ask a pharmacist or check the drug interaction online, webmd is pretty good for this
