is there any major side effect of mixing those two prescropitions together?

Were they prescribed to you at the same time?

i take percocets for pain from a recent surgery and im supposed to take xanax for when i have panic attacks but im afraid to take the xanax while on percocets

I take both together more or less for dealing with the same promblem, and yes it was prescribed to me and i ask questions also at the doc office and pharmacy that prescibes them . everyone reacts diferently to mixed drugs so ask your doc always... but as far as i know it is safe to take together without any major affects . my doc says to stagger them and not take them at the same time. but like i said im no doc by any means , always get your doctors advice first and always get you prescibes from the same pharmacy

I haven't taken xanax the same time as taking percocet but I have taken clonazepam (same family of drugs as xanax) as well as flexeril (muscle relaxant) and have been fine. Since you are new to combining these meds the biggest thing to look out for is drowsiness so don't drive if you don't have to until you know how the two will affect you.

If your concerned your doctor or pharmacist are there to answer you questions. They may tell you it's fine but also go by what your body is telling you, if the two make you sleepy take it easy (this side effect passes) or call them and ask if what you are feeling is normal. Don't ever be afraid to call your doc, they are hired by you to help you so don't think you are bothering them.

P.S. I've had panic attacks, they suck, bottem line, but it does get better I didn't think it would when I had them on a daily basis but I made it out on the other side and so will you. :)

i am prescribed both xanax and percocet by the same doctor....they can be taken together as they are directed....the only side effect would be more drowsiness and thats about it :)
