How Long Does a Popped Blood Vessel Take to Heal?

I just had one of these in the last two weeks. I noticed my eye had gotten red and then it spread over most of my eye.It took about a week for it to completely clear up. I went to the dr. about this once but they said it was nothing to worry about unless it started happening a lot. I just put visine in my eye to keep it from being dry and irrated.
