View Full Version : Would taking Vitamin D supplement affect blood test results?

I had a Vitamin D blood test last week (25(OD), NOT 1,25), which came back at 98 nmol/L! I was (and still am) quite shocked, that's an almost perfect value. Thing is, it doesn't really make that much sense to me, I haven't been out in the sun for ages (no UVB on my skin this entire year!), how could I possibly have such a great level? I thought milk etc. only made up a tiny tiny portion of the vitamin D intake.

I did start taking some supplements, 800-1200IU for 4-5 days before the blood was drawn. Could this affect the levels a lot, or should I simply accept that my D levels are good? :)
