View Full Version : Tinted lens vs. anti-reflective lens

I work at a computer all day and night practically. I have anti-reflective bifocal lens, but things like words and objects are fuzzy to me.

Has anyone found that a tinted lens is better for working on computer than anti-reflectives? it seems the anti-reflectives cause my eyes to lose focus. Hard to focus when I'm working with these glasses. BTW, the doctor says the RX is correct and it matches my vision.

I would sugggest computer glasses. The top of the lens would be for your computer distance and the bottom (bifocal part) for your near. I would definately keep the anti reflective coating it helps with the glare we experience being on computers all day thereby helping with eye fatigue.

I would suggest your problem has more to do with tired eyes than the type of lens you haved. I had a simmilar problem. I over came it by using the 10X10X10 Rule which is Every 10 minutes look at an object 10 feet away for 10 seconds. I also do eye exercises that I down loaded and I have had good results.
