Hi,

Can anyone tell me how long it takes for this medicine to leave the system? I've been on it since September but have ran into problems with it. The weight loss part was great, I lost 12 kg but after having a preassessment for an operation the other day it turns out my resting heart rate is 126bpm (blood pressure fine 136/79), this time last year it was 83bpm. I've had an ecg which showed no problems and a chest x-ray, again no problems so the doctors have chalked it up to the Sibutramine and my underactive thyroid medicine (levothyroxine). I've been told to stop taking the Sibutramine and reschedule an ecg but they didnt give me a time frame.

So to sum up i'm 31, 6ft, 100kg and have been taking it 4 months,and quite stressed which isn't helping!

Edited to say its now 93bpm using one of those wrist strap monitors, though I dont know how accurate they are. The last dose I had was yesterday morning (10mg).
