HI everyone!! The last time I posted a thread here, I was going in for voarian drilling and I was very nervous. Well, I did it!! On November 14th, I went into it, and then exactly 29 days later, (yesterday) I had a period!! I think I even ovulated, judging from the signs of ovulation!!!
I had a talk with the nurse just now, and she said that a lot of people shy away from ovarian drilling, because it's surgery and the name is scary. But now I can ovulate without having drugs, and she said that often, ovarian drilling and then Clomid works best for people with PCOS.
I'm just putting it out ther for people who are trying to conceive, or who just want a regular cycle without being on the Pill! :)

Great news, I have spoke to you before I think, How were your periods before the O.D? I had O.D in may of this year (07) and at first periods were quite regular, now they are back to how they were before the op. Not had a preiod since 24th oct, This is very distressing for ttc but great for practising.

you know i had never heard of this drilling until i come upon these boards?? i was just wondering if your doctor recomended this for you?? did you try any other methods first ( any medications??) i'm just wondering for my own sake if it's something i should look into. i dont get periods on my own ever i have to take provera or bc to get one. and getting me to O is another story even clomid doesn't seem to want to work on me either....dawn

I had this done in March of 1993. The doctor even put me on Rezulin (now off the market) right after surgery. I got pregnant the same month I had it done. This is the only thing that worked for me. I did the Clomid and Pergonal shots. Nothing helped. I wish you the best of luck with the results from the surgery. I had it again in 1998 and also got pregnant the same month. There is hope.
