ive been taking loestrin 24 for a year now and im getting near the last of my pills. i wait till the last minute to do everything so now doctors cant fit me in for an appointment which means i will have to take a break between pills. is this ok?

It's ok to break between pills. Just remember to use an alternate form of birth control! You'll also probably have to start from scratch, so to speak. Meaning, you'll have to start the new pack after your next period, as if this is the first time you've ever used the pill.
You may have some "side effects" of not being on the pill. These varies for everyone. I stopped using Yasmin after being on it for about 9 months. When I stopped by face exploded with acne. I waited it out for almost 3 months before I decided to go back on. B/c it was too expensive, $50 a month, I tried I new pill, which I started at the end of my last Yasmin pack.
Just don't be surprised if you have a little spotting or a break out, or anything else unusual while not being on the pill for a bit. Just as your body went through a transition period, getting used to being on hormones, it will have to adjust again to being without them.

why can't the doctor just phone in some refills, mine dose it all the time with out seeing me,as long as I have an appointment sheduled for the near future.
