Hi! I'm new here but wanted to share a natural, healthy way for most people to lower their cholesterol. Unfortunately, many doctors don't tell their patients that only animal products contain cholesterol. So a vegan diet works great! And it's less expensive and much less dangerous (in fact, it's very healthy) than medications.
I had my cholesterol tested last week. Here are my results:
2005 -- 28-year-old meat-eater -- total cholesterol 162
2006 -- 29-year-old meat-eater -- total cholesterol 177
2007 -- 30-year-old, vegetarian for 1 year, vegan for 3 months -- total cholesterol 139
I find that amazing! And it's such a mental boost!
I just wanted to pass this along to in case anyone wants an option to taking prescription medications.
Here's to your health! :)
Thanks,
Tracy
