I was reading a question posted back in 2005 by a user named "medley" I believe or something like that..She posted a question conerning the same thing as my question..However, the answer that she recieved disappointed me...The person who answered her told her that she would have to go to a 2 year college program in order to be able to become an ultrasound tech...I am in her same situation, I too have a child and am a wife and mother wanting to return back to school..I have been researching the whole ultrasound and cardiovasular technicain field for quite some time...I found out through my research that you do not have to go to a regular "college" type of school, and that you can in deed go to a technical school which offers ultrasound tech course as well as cardiovascular courses, and they are certificate and diploma programs..Each one requires different critera..Ultrasound is certificate, and cardiovascular tech I believe is a diploma program. I just wanted her to know that there are other types of schools out there besides college that she could try to look into..Schools that will also take less than 2 years..The one I am currently looking into is a 16-20 month program...I have an appointment with them this coming up Tuesday..But I have a question I wanted to ask on here before I asked the school which was the only thing I wasnt sure about..Exactly how much Math is involved with these courses? Math was never my strongest subject, but I know that Math is required no matter what your course of study is..Just wanted to know how much is involved in the schooling process as well as the field itself..Thank you...
