Why do I need to take CQ10 with Red Rice Yeast?

I am not an expert by any means but this is a topic of great debate. To my understanding any form of statin whether natural or synthetic can lower your body's production of COQ10.

The most resent data that I read according to a Cardiologist who is affiliated with one of our nations top hospitals and research institutions advised in his article that there is not sold evidence that it is necessary to supplement with COQ10 while on any form of statins. Again this is of great debate and we really do not have a clear answer.
