This is my first month on Yasmin, third day of my period. I have to say almost the whole month has been awful! I have had very high levels of anxiety, and I mean high!! My cramps are horrid and my head feels like its going to explode. I don't know if I can go thru this another month. I don't think I have ever felt so miserable. Has anyone had a similar experiance to this on Yasmin? I just don't feel like myself. Help?:(:(:(:(:(

I actually loved Yasmin once I got passed the first two weeks, and even then my worse side effects were only nausea and a constant headache. As I'm sure you've heard and read elsewhere, BC will effect everyone differently. Sometimes it just takes more time for your body to adjust. But it's your body, and if youd don't want to wait to see if things get better then let your doctor know that Yasmin just isn't working for you. BC pills are trial and error for the most part.

Hi, Karey -
I've never been on Yasmin, however, I can tell you this: All birth control pills (at least the combination ones) deplete many of the B vitamins, so that's probably why you're feeling so anxious. Try taking a B complex vitamin every day, this should help you a lot. I'm not sure about the cramps and the headaches, though. Those just may go away the longer you're on it. Hope things get better soon. Take care. :)

Definitely a good idea to try out the B Vitamin. I have a Vitamin B Complex I take and it has more than in a Multi Vitamin.
I'm on Yasmin and never experienced these symptoms. If they don't go away soon, I'd see your doctor about it. You might need to try a new pill. I actually had no side effects at all. I went on Yasmin because I was getting stomach aches that made me throw up during periods and could not miss school that much. I barely get any cramps or stomach aches now. I do deal with anxiety, but I was like that years before being on the pill, and I don't feel like it has changed.
You can always talk to your doctor now if it really feels bad. You can talk to them about your options.
