I wish I had known about this problem years ago. My wife suffered a heart attack, apout three years ago. After her heart attack, she was prescribed Lipitor and was on that until it started hurting her. With several location changes and several differant doctors, she was eventually prescribed Tricor and Zocor together. Being afraid of another heart attack, she trusted the Doctors advice and took these drugs together for about a year and a half before a Pharmacist (who was on the ball) told her about the potential dangers of the combination of these two drugs. She has complained about pain in her muscles and joints but there seemed to be no answer to her problem. Now, her New Doctor says the damage could be permanent. Please, anyone who reads this, be careful. Ask questions and don't be afraid to get second oppinions.

Started a new thread with this post, with reference to the original thread. Please do not reply to a 2-year-old thread. It really slows down the server. Thank you.
