been taking BC for 8 months, havent skipped, always on time..
for the first 6 months my period was right on monday, but last month it was on Wednesday. (scared the heck out of me cuz it wasnt on time) and now for some reason i'm spotting i guess.. started off pink to brown to now red. im not due for my period till monday (my green pills start sunday) is this spotting? or am i on my period? my cramps suck! and i am bleeding.. but i dont know when to mark on my calendar.. i dono when my spotting ends or my period starts.. has this happend to anyone else? whats goin on? is it normal?

Edit.. i just went to the bathroom.. and now its back to little spots. so i guess i am spotting. damn.. my body is Weird! but what a releif :)

Yes, that's pretty normal on birth control.

When you're on birth control, any bleeding you get that isn't within your placebo week is considered either spotting or breakthrough bleeding, depending on how much bleeding it is. That's what happens when you're on BC, you either have to get used to it or switch pills or quit taking it, unfortunately.

Secondly, your withdrawal bleed, which occurs during your placebo week, can happen anytime within that week. It doesn't have to always come on Tuesday or Wednesday or whatever. The withdrawal bleed occurs when the hormone level in your body has dropped enough (from being on placebos) to trigger the bleed. Not before. So if it takes a few days then that's how it goes. Nothing strange about it.
