i have been on the pill for a while now. last week i was "supposed" to have my period b/c that was the last week in the pack & i didnt really get it just 1 or 2 days of lightly spotting here and there.
Last sunday i started my new pack of pills for the month. On thursday i did have sex and started lightly pinkish spotting.
This has never happened before as in spotting after i started a new pack why is this?? help it's freaking me out.

did you change brand names of your pill recently? In the past 3 months? Its not uncommon to have breakthru bleeding when you start a new pill even for the first 3 months, then things should even out..however, if ou are still concerned, I would be calling my doc to find out if this is right and what can be done about it. Dont be freaked out, call whomever prescribed these for you and talk to them about what you are going thru. THere are 100s of pills to choose from ,sometimes it is trial and error to find the right one for you. Your doc will know what to tell you....call him and let us know how you are.

Are you on Loestrin24fe? That one and sometimes Yaz has the effect of either totally lightening up the period to almost nothing or sometimes nothing at all. Loestrin24 has been very well known to cause a woman to not have any period at all.

Some women go on the pill in an effort to make their periods lighter. And for some women, it does that. It never worked for me, unfortunately, I still had bleeding the whole week, which I hated! I'd be happy if I had only 2 days of very light bleeding!

i have been on the pill for the past 9 yrs. although i was off it from may07 to sept 07, but since sept i have been back on the same pill (cryselle) since sept i have been fine (no light spotting after starting a new pack)
this one time after the new pack on the 1st week i am lightly spotting when i wipe. So, I didn't know if this meant maybe i was pregnant or what...that's why i say im a little freaked out..lol
