Hello I live in the state of Pennsylvania and just lost my health insurance last month. I am 23 years old. Is there any way to get insurance for emergencies only?? I'm generally a healthy person and would only need it in that circumstance.

no, do not buy accident insurance. These are usually supplementary, and very limited.

What I would do is buy a high deductible policy -- say $5000. You may not have an accident, but you could develop cancer. A high deductible policy will serve you much better in the case of a catastrophic loss.

For guidence in your area, speak to your local BC/BS or to an independent insurance agent, as most good health policies are not sold through the stae farms/allstates.
