Have any of you ever had extremely bad numbers suddenly after you've been under unusual stress? I'm still looking for an explanation for why my trigs went from 93 to over 200 in just a few months!
Thanks.
Thanks.

Best to talk with your Doctor as there could very well be a other problem that has lead to such an increase in such a short period. I am no expert but based on what you advised in your other posts with out changing your diet, exercise etc.. I was amazed to see your Trig raise over 100+ points in such a short period. But again it would be best to talk your Doctor about all of this. Hope that everything works out for you. anlina 12-17-2007, 12:56 AM Arizona77, Thanks for your kind post! Unfortunately, my doctor's puzzled by the numbers too. Best, Anlina dmer 12-17-2007, 09:39 AM Between 10/29/07 and 12/10/07, my triglycerides fell from 262 to 117. In that time period, I lost approx 22lbs, maintained a 6 day per week exercise regimen and a 1600-1800 calorie per day diet. The diet was signficantly changed to reduce / eliminate refined carbs and generally, paying attention to the GI contents of food. My fasting glucose went from 107 to 93. While glad it dropped, I would have hoped for a bigger result in that regard. I should state that even now, I am about 50 pounds over my ideal weight and that in addition to BP medication, I take 40mg of Pravachol per day. My TC and LDL have declined very significantly but except for LDL, everything has been principally influenced by diet and exercise. I was hoping the pill could do it alone! |
