Hi everyone! I just started a low-calorie diet and lost 11.5lbs. I am 5'6" and weighed 179.5 before and currently weigh 168.5... so I know it's somewhat working... but should my weightloss be this slow? I'm 22 now, but in high school I had gained a lot of weight after knee surgery but it seems I had lost it much quicker and with a lot less effort.. I had gotten back down to my pre-surgery weight of 140lbs.. now my weight is out of control and takes forever to come off!! Should I stick with this diet.. or is there one thats more effective??

Slow and steady wins the race. A healthy weight loss is 1-2 lbs a week. And if you just started and you have already lost 11 1/2 lbs you are doing great. Keep your calories above 1200 and do what you have been doing and you will lose the weight. Keep up the good work.
