Hi Ladies

i am just looking for some advise please? I had LEEP dont for CINIII 6months ago, however, ever since I had the LEEP done my periods have been heavier and more painful than before.
I am sat at work now and feeling terrible period cramps and just in general feel horrible. I wouldnt say I was having abnormal bleeding but certanly heavier than I used to have before.
i mentioned it to my doctor before and he just basically said yes that can happed and that was it! Useless really!
so I am just wondering if this happened to anyone else and if the periods ever settle back down to "normal"?
thanks so much

Hi there,

Well I was just going to post a new thread as I am having similar problems .My 2nd cone was in June and my last three periods have been heavy , painful and long ,also two of them late by almost four weeks. I went to see the nurse this morning having been crying with pain for more than two hours on Friday night ,six painkillers later ,nothing seemed to work and I know you shouldn't take than many ,but it was awful, I eventually managed to sleep . Anyway I have an appointment with my gynaecologist next week so will let you know what he says . Also after the long period I have black tar like looking stuff for a couple of days, do you get anything like this ?

You can help relieve the pain through a warm bath, orgasm, hot water bottle, back massage, and exercise really helps.
Banana, herbal tea, dried fruit, brown bread and fish are a few foods that will help the pain. Always make sure you stay away from coffee, salt especially, sugar, chocolate, etc because they make you feel worse.
Many women take evening primrose to help too. I dealt with extremely painful periods for a few years, it can be debilitating!

Hi Luzon
how did you get on?

Just wondering if anyone else has had heavier periods since they had LEEP? I just to only have to use regular tampons which I had to change every 6 hours, now I am using Super tampons which I am needing to change every 2 hours, so as you can she they are now a lot heavier. Is this normal? Its been 6months since the LEEP do you think they will ever go back to normal?

If anyone can offer some assurance or advise I will serioulsy realy really appreicate it as I am getting qutie upset having these horrible periods.
thanks
