I SERVED IN THE NAVY DURING THE GULF WAR AND SINCE I HAVE BEEN BACK AND OUT NOW THERE HAS BEEN NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS,CHRONIC STOMACH PAINS(THEY THOUGHT IT WAS MY APPENDIXS,BUT IT WAS NOT),HAIR LOSS, FATIGUE,MOOD SWINGS,LONG TIME FOR WOUNDS TO HEAL.SINCE I HAVE BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH AUTOIMMUNE DEFICIENCY SYNDROME,WHICH HAS PUT ME IN THE HOSPITAL SEVERAL TIMES,WITHIN THE LAST MONTH I HAVE HAD SWOLLEN JOINTS,PAINFUL ARMS AND LEGS,WENT TO THE SPECIALIST AND FOUND OUT TODAY THAT I NOW HAVE DERMTOMYOSITIS.SYMPTOMS INCLUDE MUSCLE WEAKNESS AND BREAKDOWN ,SKIN CHANGES,RASHES.ITS CAUSE IS UNKNOWN,HOWEVER SOME RESEARCHERS BELIEVE THAT MYOSITIS RESULTS WHEN A PERSON WITH WITH A CERTAIN GENETIC BACKGROUND IS EXPOSED TO A PARTICULAR CHEMICAL,VIRUS AND OTHER INFECTIOUS AGENTS. Since you already know that you have Autoimmune Deficiency Syndrome, you might want to find an Infectious Diseases doctor who will put you on some antivirals. I have recurring Cytomegalovirus, but the Infectious Diseases doctors initially thought it was Autoimmune Deficiency Syndrome. My lymph glands were swollen all the time. I had two lumps in my neck, and my salivary glands were infected most of the time. I took Cytovene for 30 days about two years ago. It made all the difference in the world. I have run short on funding, but one of my next goals is to find an ID doctor who will let me try Famvir. Antivirals may not get rid of all your problems, but it will make you feel that there is a reason to go on living -- and trying. Best of luck to you.
