How often should your eyes be dilated? I see my eye doctor yearly...but he doesnt dilate my eyes...I remember it being done 1 time..but dont remember even how long ago that was...it has been so long....

It isn't a part of the standard exam. They only do it if they think there is a reason.

If you are diabetic you should definately have annual dilated eye exams. While most optometrists don't do it on an annual basis unless there is a reason I would still insist on it every other year. Looking at the peripheral retina is important especially as we age.
