I've really been reading up on what salt and water does to the body.
And it definately seems to help clean out the system and rehydrate you big time. What's the first thing the hook up to you in the hospital......saline solution....water and salt.
It also helps clean out the pores and the liver, and if you trying to get rid of a toxin in the body the easiest and safest way is to treat it with water and salt.
First you need to get off any caffine products (do this slowly) and no fake sugars either.
Start with just the water intake,(especially if you have any swelling), once your getting rid of as much as your taking in, and your up to 1/2 your body weight in ounces.
Then you start the salt.
Get a good sea/salt with minerals. This will replace the electrolite balance in the system. The bodies source of energy.
Take 1/4 tsp..am and 1/4 tsp..pm and use it on your food also.
Take a good quality kelp to help your thyroid funtion. (some people on thyroid meds don't need kelp.)
There is a blood test to see if your thyroid is funtioning correctly.
Get a daily supply of magnesium and calcium.
Take it easy on the orange juice. It contains alot of potassium and the daily recommened amount is all that you need.
Some one I know has hep c and this has really helped in that area. But also it's the best way to help lots of diff. illnesses, because it rehydrates the body like regular water won't.
For getting the most out of your nutrients from food. Drink a glass of water 1/2 hour before eating, and 2 glasses 1/2 hour before your biggest meal of the day.
It take so much energy for the body to correctly digest food, and with taking in water 1/2 hr. before meals your making it easier for the body to keep up with the process of digestion, without overloading the system.
For rashes you could try some Apple Cider Vinegar, just dab it on. The smell with disapear. Helps put the PH balance back in the skin.
My heartfelt prayers and wishes go out to each of you with problems steming from the Gulf War, In the state we live in the congressmen we have is very active in helping vets. Maybe this is an area to try to get some action. Diana http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif
