If it is impetigo then it is highly contagious. It is caused by an infection to the skin...caused from bacteria that has infected an abrasion/spot to the skin. The skin goes into a yellow crust and usually oozes a yellow pus like substance. The only way to cure it is a course of antibiotic tablets and a cream which your doctor should prescribe.
