Yesterday I took my 11 year old son in to the ped for a check-up. We walked out of the appointment with a neuro referral after a failed neuro exam. His appointment is tomorrow (very fast to get in to the ped neuro...which is even more concerning!!) Anyway, the ped found that he had intention tremors (his hands tremor during focused tasks) and hyper reflexes. He developed migraines about two months ago and I just brushed it off as a part of puberty. I guess I may have been horribly wrong!! When I did an internet search for his symptoms (those listed above plus fatigue and forgetfulness) and the only thing that came up was multiple sclerosis!! Does anyone have any thing similar in their pubescent child?

Thanks!

i'm not real familiar with boys and how they work (who is???), but did they already rule out hormones? i remember my brothers went through phases of headaches and i want to say shaky hands in at least one of them, but i'm not sure if it was at the same time.... anyway, it was around the time they hit puberty too. hopefully that is all it is, and maybe your doctor is just extra cautious?
