View Full Version : positive Yaz feedback?

Hello everyone. I'm new here and have some questions about Yaz. I just started taking this 4 days ago and so far things are ok. I tried seasonique and it made me so tired i couldnt function so i stopped bc all together for awhile. I was also on the patch a few years ago for 1 yr and did great on that. I refuse to go back on it though after all the commercials about it on TV. Im 25yrs old and also unfortunetly, a smoker.

My first question is, can any ladies out there give me any positive feedback on this pill? I know most of it is negative because, well, thats mostly what the boards are for. Even though Ive felt ok after only 4 days I know I may not expierance side effects until months later.

And my other question is, has any ladies taken this bc or ne other bc and been dealing with anxiety or depression prior to the bc? My biggest concern is i have a panic disorder that started long before the bc, and although I'm "recovered" and doing much better now, I'm a little nervous the pill could bring on panic/anxiety or depression again. So have any ladies who considered themselves cured of depression or anxiety have it come back because of taking bc? I'm also still on meds for the panic if that matters or not.

Thank you in advance for any replies.

Into my third month of Yaz, coming from Yasmin then to Loestrin 24. Yasmin WAS HORRIBLE. Loestrin24 was okay, it was very easy to skip my period but my sex drive was still moderately low and I still dealt w/ mood swings.

I have not been on Yaz long enough to assess the mood issue. I can certainly say it's given a boost to my chest; I may be possibly losing some weight, too. My stomach doesn't seem so bloated. I have had a diuretic effect, but I also deal with IBS, too; it's a little hard to tell if it's one or a mutual culprit.

My biggest complaint is not being able to control my period. I seem to start on the first day back on the bill, as opposed to the second day on the placebo. I suppose to skip I would need to not take the placebos at all. I am hoping with more dosages that my period will eventually lighten and I can target it's start date, as it did with Loestrin24.

So far so good, my sex drive is back with a kick so I could not be more happy.

Good luck too you

During the first couple of weeks I had some serious anxiety although I've never had a problem with it before. I don't know if it helps, but I evened out after that. I think it happens with any pill.
