My Pa passed from this life on 12/21/03. Even though it's been almost 4 years now, it still feels like yesterday. It hurts less and less each year, but it still doe hurt. I find comfort in knowing he's still around me. Members of my family have claimed to have even seen him, his rocking chair will rock while no one's in it or around it. But I have the most vivid reminder of my grandfather living in my house! My 2 yr old daughter, who never met her great grandpa, is just like him: quiet, same mannerisms, and is the only person in our family who can eat his favorite food - bread and milk. Some days that's all she'll eat.

And while the pain remains of his passing I can find comfort knowing he's still with me in my kids - especially my little girl.

It'll be 4 years in two days. 4 years in which we've missed his wisdom and calming demeanor.

Hi Willo, my dad passed away six months ago. We are also finding comfort in things that may seem normal - like a rainbow when we are really missing him - but to us we take it as a sign that he is okay and wants us to go on. The day of my oldest son's graduation from high school we took lots of pictures. In more than one there is an orb (if you believe in them) on his grad cap. I won't go further into that because that is a different subject. We have to take whatever signs we can for comfort. Milk and bread, my mom eats that too, she puts butter in it also. Guess I shouldn't judge when I haven't even tried it! take care
