Has anyone been tested for symptoms such as chest pains, intestinal pains, rashes, headaches, etc and all test come out negative? My list goes on, but am tired of being poked and proded for something that always comes out negitive. My recent experience has been high blood pressure, none of these things I have been tested or seen for runs in my family. Thank you for any feedback you can offer me

I am a Gulf Vet. served with the 101st. I was a medic, and gave alot of shots and pills out. by the order of our governement. If the pills had anything to do with this I am sorry. I too have many problems that I didnt have before the Storm. I now sport wrist pain that Walter Reed Medical Center calls Ulnar abuttment syndrome. My wrist bone is too long. I didnt have this problem when I joined. I also take Zoloft for mood swings, thank god for that tho my family was paying a high price for my moods. I have memory trouble and all they can test me for is Alztymers(sp) I just had an EGD yesterday and now I have "Several" polyps in my stomach and the tube that leads to the small intestines. Joint pain, memory lasps, intestinal problems and unexplianable chest pains. I have tried to "register" for the Gulf War list, but the amount of time you have to devote to all the testing not to mention I drive 83 miles one way to get to the VA hospital. I can't afford to drive there all the time.. Is there a list that shows what ailments we Vets have in Common? other then just simple sypmtoms? There has to be a connection and if we can find that then maybe we can get a bigger ball rolling on these issuses.....

Good Luck, as I have the paper work from the VA program to go for this study, but am cautious to sign these papers. Should they find anything or not. I have to pick up the cost after they say yeah or nay. I'm not willing to give up yet, it's my life and I have to live with this now, not the Government or those who did not serve.
As for the test you have already have had. I have been tested from A-Z atleast once a year for the same thing with neg., results with the exception of one showing polyps in 97 and Jan this year irregular heartbeat and this past week a heart cath, showing 60% blockage in my arteries, go figure, since none of these problems run in my family. I'm tired of having to go in once a year for something that can't be found or that has not yet been released to doctors to look further into as a result of Desert Storm. Try not to loose all hope, someone one day, will stand up for the rights of those who did serve and there spouses and children

If you'll go "BACK" one page to the Gulf War Syndrome menu page, and click on Resources Links up there in the Blue Bar across the top, I think you'll find your answers. Beckie99 pretty much hit the nail on the head in the area of your health concerns.

Plenty of websites to keep you busy between V.A. trips and after you get to the waiting line at the V.A. clinics and hospitals. Believe me.
