okay, is anyone else's child completely addicted to raisins? my two year old will run and bang on the pantry door (if it's locked) and scream at the top of her lungs, "RAISINS!!!" over and over again until someone comes and tells her NO or okay, depending on if she'll calm down and ask nicely or not. but it's ALL DAY long, and she's driving me crazy! i know it's not going to hurt her because she never gets a whole bunch at a time, but she's just psychotic about it! i'm not really asking for advice, just venting a little and am curious to know if anyone else's kid is psychotic too! :)

My daughter is going on 21 months and lately she is going through a phase where is also beats on the pantry door for food. Usually it is baby Goldfish crackers or the pretzel kind. I also buy Hansen's organic mini juice boxes and she beats on the refrigerator door for those all day too. I bought a box of organic crackers and cookies from Costco yesterday. They are just like goldfisg but are healthier and organic. If was funny to read your story, because my daughter just started acting this way this past week and I am to the point several times a day, I have to tell her no. I try to cut up some strawberries for her instead. Oh, she is also addicted to toast. lol

My daughter is almost 22 months and she is addicted to applesauce...which is great. If she had it her way she'd probably eat nothing BUT applesauce:) She also beats on the pantry door for her juice boxes & her spongebob (a.k.a. "Bob-Bob") fruit snacks. If I have it open looking for something she'll run up & push past me and reach for her goodies. I limit her to one packet a day if that and I think she's starting to understand...at least I hope so!
Oh and she did go through a yogurt ("yo-yo") faze so I was happy and started buying the big tubs of it for her since I thought she LOVED it...now she won't even touch it:( Kids and their ever-changing taste-buds!

Just a warning on the raisins: They can be very bad on the teeth.
The sticky consistancy and the sugars (even natural ones) can result in a nightmare of cavities. Eating a few here and there throughout the day is much worse than eating the whole box at one time because the sugars build-up.
I would recommend brushing after each snack. Maybe that will also put a crimp on the constant demand.
