I'm not sure how many of you Gulf War Vets are aware of the existence of the United Nations Compensation Comission. It is a UN committee that was formed shortly afer the Gulf War to adress dammage claims submitted by victims of the 1991 war. They pay cash awards to people, corporations and governments who can prove that they have sustained losses as a direct result of the war. So far they have paid $16 BILLION in claims for dammages. With another $200 billion to go.

They not only accepted claims for monetary losses but also for pain and suffering, loss of life, etc. I say "accepted", as the deadlines for filing passed in 1995 while the US government was stonewalling you guys, refusing to address your medical problems.

You could have had everything paid for by Iraq, the cause of your problems in the first place, if the US government wanted to go to bat for you at the UNCC. They didn't, they screwed you instead. The gov. did however submit claims for corporations and government agencies who lost MONEY during the war.

Get your facts straight then let loose with both guns blazing on your congressman. Its shamefull that Exxon gets their "losses" covered while patriotic Americans like you get the shaft.
