Hello Everyone eading this message board, I found this website by mistake, I was looking for information on any civilian doctors in Chicago, that might be treating this condition when I found this website. It is really comforting to know that at least I am not alone on this, I am 41 Years old and suffering with the same condition that most of these people are explaining, unfortunately many doctors out there do not know anything about this and they can not explain the complicated symptomology of this disease, they all finish sending you to a shrink, which makes this more depressing, I have gone thru many blood tests, biopsies, ct scans, x-rays, etc... the doctors said I might have non-hodgkins lymphoma but all tests are inconclusive, all thsi symtoms have appeared about 6 months after returning from the Gulf War. I am getting worse and losing all hopes at this time, does anyone knows about any civilian doctors in the Chicago area? the VA hospital treats you like a guinea pig and would not do anything, please some one help me [edited] with more information if any. I am desperate.
Thank You

We are not allowed to post any websites or addresses on this board. I have not seen any research studies in the Chicago area, however, there does seem to be a number of private institutions (mostly universities)doing research. Try using a search engine and typing the key words Chicago and Gulf War Syndrome or Gulf War Illness and see if you get any high matches you might have to do a little surfing to find if anything is in your area. If that fails expand your search to just Gulf War Syndrome in general there are several national Gulf War Websites out there try looking them up that might help you find a research or treatment info. The down side to this is there is so much info out there you have to wade through it all to find what might help you.
