I still need help in my search for anyone who suffers
back pain, or have had surgeries. I beleive that because of GWS that it led to a degeneration to my discs at L4-L5, which led to my injury of a herniated disc, to a ruptured one. Well 9 years, 3 surgeries, and tons of narcotics, I'm still in pain and most likely will never know a life without pain to some degree. I'm trying to file a claim with the VA and connect my back to the Gulf. It would really help me if anyone else had similar problems. If anyone out there has or knows someone with back problems and is a GWV then please reply. I'd give you my email but this site doesn't let you post your email address. Thanks.

There is actually relief for ruptured disks. I also have ruptured disks (L4 & 5) and there is a study going on where your disks are replaced with synthetic disks. It is experimental and not FDA approved yet. I know someone I work with that was 1 of 2 people who received the synthetic disks and has been pain free since her operation. You will need to see if there is anyone in your state that is conducting the same experimental surgeries.

Good luck

I am a GWV and I to have had the same L-4,L-5. Just one time cut open, but every thing that came the year before is to much to list. pain is still there. Was told by my DR. that I should stop talking about my pain. MY MRI DID NOT SHOW THAT I SHOULD BE IN PAIN!!!!!!!! That was the last time I saw him about 5 years have past. ANY OTHER GWS INFO?
GOOD LUCK!

The brain surrounds the pituitary & a couple of other glands - maybe it is they and not the brain that is hurting

Glad to see a post from you 5-12-04

Have you ever been told you have too many immature red blood cells?
Has anyone looked at the size and shape of red blood cells

That is what the key-marker is for harm from 2-butoxyethanol poisoning
I think it is the unfound cause of fatigue in CFS & similar diagnosis

Your group should have endocrine disruption along with the central nervous system damage. AND this chemical targets the liver and kidneys.

Did you hear what happened to VAL?

Maybe the moderators could ask her to post again on her thread
