I am a GWV stationed at fleet hospital five.
About 6 mo ago I noted some hearing loss in my right ear.The ENT Dr. saw nothing wrong with my external ear so he did a hearing exam which showed some problams.
He sent me for an MRI to rule out any type of tumor.
The MRI showed that there was not a tumor but showed non-specific problems (lesions)throughtout my brain.
I was sent to a neuologist at the first visit he said it was possibly MS.Over the last month more symptoms have developed like tremors, facial grimises, memory loss, the list goes on.The first neuologist sent me to a movement specialist who saw me for 10 minutes and said I just have some psyciatric problems.
I am so angry just to be dismissed like that.
My questions are, how long after the GW are vets developing new symptoms? Has anyone met the same crap from other than VA doctors? I just need some support!

See my post about ship stationed veterans. I have not yet gotten to take an MRI or MRS. I am just now getting to see a Neurologist in the V.A. and trying to get the appointment moved up.

My husband is a GWV. I have known him for 6 years now. When we first met he was always sick with flu like symptoms. Four years ago he was tested for sleep apnea and found to have a mild case. In the last year he it seems to have gotten worse. He is always tired, he mentally gets lost and goes into this little world of his own, he has sudden severe headaches, he has a bad memory, is moody, and the list goes on and on. We have recently seen a private doctor and he is scheduled for a sleep study and has an appointment to see a nuerologist. We have been unsuccessful in any attempt to have a child, which I am learning could actually be a blessing. His doctor, as well as, my husband and I are looking into the possibility of GWS. All the information is overwhelming and frightening. He is only 32 years old. I have not had the experience of the VA yet, but the first question our family doctor asked is if he could be treated at the VA. Any advice or comments on this whole process would be very appreciated.
