I need to know how to get information on Gulf War Syndrum (other than web based). My husband served in the Marines over there and has been sick the whole time we have been married (7 years). He knows and I know that it is because of his time over there but the tests he has had run on him have not revealed anything helpful.
He has gastral/intestinal problems and heat related issue. He has also developed joint problems that refuse to heal. His daughter is also affected with severe skin problems
Who do we contact? Where can we go for more information? And who is actually listening or investigating this issue.

Vale
sorry to hear about your Husband,we are all in the same vote.It makes it hard for us to offer the help when the VA does not want to acknowledge our illnesses was due to the service. What I do sugest is that your Husband put in a claim for his illnesses and find a doctor outside of the va who is willing to put his carreer on the line for you. This saddens me and make life more difficult. What makes it even harder is that we are not allowed to post other websights that can help you and your family. If the moderator could give us some lee way we would be able to help you even more.Just to let you know that you are no alone in this and that there is alot of us who are in the same shoe's as your self.Stay strong and look for help outside the va system.I hope that this helps some so hang in there and be strong for your family.

Hi Val,
I'm right there with you. My husband and I are right there with you. We've been together six years and the symptoms have always been there but have gotten worse over the last year. He will be going through tests in the next couple of weeks as result. He seems to suffer from neurological disorders that are very frustrating! He has not been diagnosed yet and has just recently began to even think it is a possibility. Our private doctor believes GWS is the problem. Hang in there and I will keep you in my thoughts. The pride I have in my husbands service during Desert Storm and the love I have for him, gives me the strength to fight for him every step of the way!
