I started having panic attacks/not being able to sleep in late September. I started out by taking Xanax at night, which didn't lull me to sleep. Since the beginning of October, I have taken Ambien almost every night to fall asleep. Of course, there have been a few "test" nights when I didn't take the medication, and I still can't sleep. It has been wonderful as far as putting me to sleep -- I would go nuts without it. But, I have vivid nightmares every night and I miss being able to relax and fall asleep.
I'm worried that I'll never be able to sleep on my own again. My doctor gave me Rozarem samples, but I've heard a lot of bad things. Plus, it only helps you fall asleep (if it does work), and I have problems falling and staying asleep.
In May, I will be graduating from college and my apartment lease is up. I would like to solve this problem before then, because I will have absolutely no health insurance after I leave school -- therefore, no way to obtain help with my sleeping disorder -- for a while, at least.

Have you tried Serzone? This is an anti-depressant that was created especially for depression with sleep disorders. I was on it about 6 years ago, and it did help me to sleep.
