Okay, I don't know all the facts, but this is what I do know: A young pug came into the veterinary hospital one week with seizures. The pug was treated, and released the next day. Pug came back to the hospital the next week, reasons unknown. First day, was on fluids, but was doing well.. alert, happy, and eating. Next morning, suffered at least one, maybe two more seizures, and never recovered. The pug died that night. That afternoon, it was discovered it had bacterial meningitis.
Here's my question. Could the pug have had the bacterial meningitis when it came in the first week and it just wasn't discovered until after the last bout of seizures? Or could something.. some bit of carelessness or accident have happened that first night/second morning that caused the infection, seizures, and eventual death? Can it take effect that quickly, or is it more prolonged?
