Any massage is good massage...

Get it and tell us how it went.

I did cranial sacral therapy for about a year. It did help in relieving some of my overall body discomfort, pain, muscle twitching, etc although it does not correct the actual tmj problem. Not all therapists are the same - which I found out when I went to a different therapist that was closer to where I lived having stopped the therapy for a while due to its cost and the long drive into the city. But with the first therapist I went to I did find my body much more relaxed afterwards and that enabled me to sleep for longer periods at a time. I also noticed however after several months I no longer got the same benefits as when I first started - another reason I stopped going. I would definitely give it a try - its not invasive at all - although the 2nd therapist I went to was a bit on the eccentric side - into crystals and incense, getting in touch with your inner self and such and insisted that I not have clothing on during treamtent which I was not comfortable with. I much preferred the first therapist who was more into not so much making me go into a meditative state as she was in sensing where my body was being stressed and addressing those areas.

You're right. Cranial Sacral therapy does help in some aspects, but it will not overall heal your TMD. When I had mine done, I could notice a change in my body, but my jaw was still the same.

In my case, my left jaw joint was (is) degenerating and there wasn't much they could do about that but to stabilize my jaw with a splint. That worked, and now I've got surgery ahead of me and what-have-you.

CST is good and relaxing though. :)
